Data sources and review

Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV)

Drug Administration of Vietnam website provides official notices concerning pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. VPSA collects documents about warnings, distribution suspensions, recalls and destruction within its configured source coverage. VPSA does not contain all data published by DAV.

Vietnam Food Administration (VFA)

Vietnam Food Administration website publishes food safety information, including product warnings and recalls. Its news categories also contain guidance and general regulatory news; VPSA distinguishes these from alerts about specific products.

From source documents to public results

  1. Collect articles and attachments, keeping source copies for traceability.
  2. Extract product names, identifiers, batch numbers, reasons, measures and dates together with supporting evidence.
  3. Check consistency across fields. Missing or conflicting information needs review; barcodes and batch scope are not filled in by guesswork.
  4. A reviewer checks the data and evidence before publication. Drafts, rejected records and unpublished alerts do not appear on public alert pages.

What does review mean?

VPSA review checks how source documents have been read and structured. It is not product quality testing or endorsement of VPSA by DAV or VFA. Confidence in extraction and confidence in product matching are separate matters.

Updates and corrections

Sources may add or replace documents. Open the original links on each alert and check for newer notices. If you find an incorrect name, batch number or interpretation, send the URL and supporting evidence through the contact page. Current collection coverage is available in the coverage data.
